Dr. Cruz was born in Honduras and raised in Houston, Texas, by Spanish-speaking immigrants in a working-class home. Growing up, she recognized a need for Spanish-speaking women physicians in her community, which inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Cruz went Dr. Cruz chose to specialize in primary care because it allows her to help others. She currently lives in San Antonio, where she enjoys being outdoors and spending quality time with friends and family.
