  • Child Placement

    Abrazo provides all the services necessary to enable babies and children to be legally placed for adoption (at no cost to the placing parent) and then supervises the adopting family to ensure that the placement is in the child's best interests until such time as an adoption can be legally finalized in the courts of Bexar County, Texas,

  • Private counseling

    Counseling for individuals or couples, provided by Master's-level therapists or graduate counseling students, and provided free of charge as a community service; call to set up an in-person or Zoom appointment.

  • Prenatal/Postnatal Maternity Care

    Texas adoption agencies are able to assist with limited, medically-necessary, birth-related prenatal and postnatal charges for mothers and babies in the adoption process for whom Medicaid or private insurance coverage is unavailable or denied.

  • Housing & Living Assistance for Placing Mothers

    As allowed by law and as determined by documented needs, Abrazo provides interim housing, grocery assistance, clothing, basic utility aid and limited maternity-related transportation for expectant mothers who are placing for adoption, and post-placement support for birthmothers who are still recovering from birth.

  • Post-Adoption Emotional Support

    Birthparents who place through Abrazo are entitled to post-adoption emotional support or referrals at no charge, for however long it is needed.

  • Homestudies

    Private homestudies are prepared for prospective adoptive parents, based on a minimum of five face-to-face individual, couple and joint interviews plus an in-home inspection performed by a Master's level placement professional.

  • Adoptive Family Fees

    The agency fees for all professional casework services provided in the course of the adoption preparation and/or placement process vary depending on the program for which the prospective adoptive parents qualify.

  • Post-Placement Supervision

    A Master's level adoption professional conducts in-person, face-to-face post-placement visits to assess the adopting family's adjustment to placement and to affirm the child's welfare in the adoptive home prior to finalization of the adoption. Texas adoption regulations require that there be at least five (5) post-placement supervisory visits in the first six months after placement, and that there be quarterly visits thereafter until the adoption has been finalized in a court of law, All household members must be present for each supervisory visit.

  • Cradle care

    Abrazo's privately-licensed foster family provides the very best of short-term cradle care for babies, toddlers and children who are in the process of being adopted through the agency.

    Price: 100.00 per day (includes mileage)

  • Post-Adoption Support

    Abrazo's office staff provides complimentary post-adoption support for adoptees and/or adoptive parents, and professional referrals as needed,
