• Steve Roberts

  Chief Executive Officer

  Steve is the Chief Executive Officer of STAR Anesthesia, P.A. He was the first employee of STAR, joining in August of 1997, as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to STAR, Steve held several positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of marketing, finance, provider relations and network development for companies such as Humana Healthcare, Ethix Southwest and NYLCare. Steve holds a BS in Business Administration from Bryant College and a MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Steve is married to Rose Mary and they have a daughter, Maggi, who recently graduated from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide). When not working, Steve enjoys playing golf and hunting.

• Ryan Boubel

  Chief Operating Officer

  Ryan Boubel joined the STAR Anesthesia team in 2011 and now serves as Chief Operating Officer. Ryan focuses on strategic growth and initiatives and leads the team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. Prior to his role as Chief Operating Officer, Ryan served as Chief Financial Officer with the primary responsibilities of overseeing financial reporting and the physician payroll process, which included multiple hospital system financial arrangements. Ryan has over ten years of experience in practicing Accounting/Finance. Ryan became CFO of STAR Anesthesia in 2013, while also serving as CFO for two other smaller physician groups until 2014. Prior to joining STAR Anesthesia in 2011, Ryan began his career with Ernst & Young, departing as Audit Manager. His focus was primarily in the financial services industry with a focus on insurance and asset management. He has extensive SEC reporting experience, as well as experience with multiple privately owned companies across several industries. Ryan graduated with a Master of Science in Finance from Texas A&M University, in addition to a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University. He has held his CPA license since 2008.

• Erin Pribble

  Controller

  A native of Houston, Erin moved to San Antonio to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Finance from Trinity University and has called San Antonio home ever since. Erin joined STAR Anesthesia in 2015 as the Accounting Manager and now serves as the company Controller. As the Controller she oversees the daily accounting process as well as staff and physician payroll processing and reporting. Prior to joining STAR, Erin worked as the Controller for Rush Truck Insurance for 7 years. While with Rush she oversaw every aspect of the accounting and finance departments including premium financing, cash management, payroll, policy creation and enforcement, forecasting and reporting.

• Jessica Gonzales

  Human Resources Manager

  Jessica Gonzales joined STAR Anesthesia in 2013 as the Human Resources Manager. As the HR Manager, she oversees all human resources, benefits, and 401k administration. Prior to working for STAR, Jessica worked in the PEO (Professional Employer Organization) industry as a Human Resources Specialist serving more than 100 clients throughout the U.S. She has more than 10 years of human resources experience including recruiting, training and development, employee relations and benefits administration. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Human Resources Management from St. Mary’s University (San Antonio, TX), and she is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

• Emily Wende

  Director of Marketing / Director of Credentialing

  Emily Wende joined STAR Anesthesia in 2011 and now serves as the Director of Marketing and the Director of Credentialing. Emily is a Certified Professional Coder and a Certified Professional Compliance Officer through American Academy of Professional Coders. She has more than 11 years experience in medical billing and coding, with an emphasis in anesthesia, radiology, and neurology. Emily moved to San Antonio from Austin in 2011, and is originally from the Dallas area, where she studied Sociology at the University of Texas at Arlington.
