I joined StretchLab with more than 17 years of experience in the wellness industry. I have assisted clients in meeting their full physical and functional potential in my work as a massage therapist, educator and professional bodyworker, and later, a certified personal trainer, alignment-based yoga instructor and SafeSport Certified. I have a Master of Science in Kinesiology at A. T. Still University, and I am thrilled to be able to consolidate my extensive wellness experience to provide customized facilitated stretching at StretchLab.
I am a proud Texas Tech alumni. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science. I have worked as a physical therapy tech and group fitness instructor where I taught multiple HIIT classes. I make helping others one of my top priorities and enjoy educating my clients on the human body. I am also SafeSport Certified. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports and working out. A fun fact about me is I was a 2011 RGVCA west football all star.
I graduated from the University of Houston with my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a focus in Health. At UH, I worked under my professors in their research studies, assisting mainly biomechanics and the impact of physical and psychological stressors on immune health, with a focus on neuroendocrine-immune interactions. I believe that stretching is an essential portion to a healthy lifestyle and am always looking forward to helping people do just that! I am also SafeSport Certified.
Sarah Mares (SafeSport Certified) - Sarah is a San Antonio native and pre-physical therapy student pursuing her bachelor’s degree. She is currently attending St. Mary’s University and will be graduating in May 2020 with her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science. Sarah began gaining experience in the physical therapy field by completing many observation and volunteer hours in various PT settings. Some of the companies and organizations that she has volunteered with include Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio, Nix Health, Kinetic Kids, Momentum Physical Therapy and Methodist Children’s Hospital. Sarah has been a tennis player for the past 15 years and gives the sport credit for teaching her valuable lessons that reflect from the court to her life. When she’s not busy in school or working out, she loves to attend concerts and go to the movies! Sarah enjoys helping others and that passion is mirrored in the relationships she builds with new people each day. While she is aspiring to become a physical therapist, she is extremely invested in her role as a Flexologist with StretchLab and looks forward to helping as many people as she can achieve their goals and live long.

(SafeSport Certified) Born in San Antonio, and raised in Mission, TX, Jackie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Athletic Medicine from The University of Texas at San Antonio in May of 2018. Since then she has geared her focus in the mental and physical wellness of many. She worked as a sensory motor coach at Brain Balance to address different sensory motor imbalances in children with special needs, aging from 4-18. She is also currently working as a physical therapy technician at a non-surgical center which has allowed her to work directly under skilled physical therapists and a physiatrist (physical medicine and rehabilitation physician) to gain an in-depth understanding of a non-surgical approach to rehabilitation. Along with this, shadowing a chiropractor who specializes in functional neurology allowed her to view rehabilitative therapy from different professions with the same ideal outcome. Being fit and health conscious allows her to practice what she preaches to promote healthy lifestyles to patients/ clients. Being personable, having patience, showing empathy, and compassion allows her to connect with people to reduce anxieties or stresses they may initially have. Through her involvements, she found gratification in building relationships with patients/ clients and is very excited to apply her knowledge at StretchLab.
